[00:00:00] Speaker A: Foreign this week we are lucky enough to have back on our show, Mr. Andrew McCain of McCain Power Systems. And you know, as I was mentioning in the first segment, we, we, we're shifting gears a little bit this week so we can talk about more automation, more ways that you can use it in your, you know, some of these tools that are out there in your daily lives, it doesn't have to be a, a huge impact. And, and even some of the things that you don't think are really going to help save you some time wind up saving you a lot of time and you don't think about those kind of things. Andrew, welcome back to the show. It's great for you to be back. [00:00:52] Speaker B: Thank you, Dr. Berdo. I appreciate you having us. [00:00:54] Speaker A: Yeah, sure. So, you know, we were talking during the break about, you know, just, just using some of these tools that are out there just for some everyday things. And I've gotten a lot of comments from the audience saying, hey, you know, can you, can you give us some more ideas on what we can use some of these tools for and those kind of things? And you were, you came up with a whole host of different, you know, ideas. And so why don't you, why don't, let's start with the jobs first because that's, that's an important part of that. What do you use, you know, some of the AI tools for around jobs. [00:01:29] Speaker B: Yeah. So when we're trying to find candidates, right, we're trying to put together a, an offer to put out there. And so the perfect position you can, I mean, we've used chat GPT to, to just write a, a job offer letter. And what, you know, what does that look like? What qualifications are we looking for? And then we kind of curtail it because it creates a little thing, copy paste it, put it into a word document and then I curtail it towards what exactly, you know, us at McCain Power Systems are looking for, whether or not it's a rental position or a logistics position or an administrative apar position. And then you can specifically ask it after it's written that up to be specific to McCain Power Systems or McCain Power Rentals or any, any number of, whatever your company is. And it literally puts it out there and it does it way faster, way cleaner, way more organized than, than I could do it and faster. And that's honestly, for me, saving time is huge. And so, you know, once we have that, we can post it on LinkedIn or, you know, use, indeed, we've used some other things to find good talent. But yeah, Chat GPT kind of spits that out and I know there's probably better ones out there too. [00:02:48] Speaker A: Hey, the one that you're using is the best one at the time, right? That's what I tell everybody. So. Hey, I, I probably should have asked you what is your company policy on, on AI? Is it allowed? It's, it's banned. What do you guys, you know, from a corporate perspective is what's your all's policy? [00:03:06] Speaker B: Yeah, I mean I, I don't see any negative that our people could, could really go out for. Our sales guys, I encourage them to do, you know, their own marketing on the free social media stuff as long as it curtails our business and what they're trying to sell or put out there. And then we have a marketing team that, that, you know, we use that, that as well. I mean I, I have not seen with us personally any negative impacts and, and you know, I haven't banned anything or, or said anything. I think there's something, you know, if it can help. I think being more efficient. Right. Is, is and get more stuff done and maybe organize a blast or something that we're going to send out. I think, I think there's only positives that I've seen so far. I don't, I don't, I haven't really thought too far about the negatives, but yeah, totally. I encourage it actually. [00:04:02] Speaker A: Yeah. Yeah. And you know, we talk all the time that you never know if AI is really going to help you until you're trying some of these tools that are out there. And your, your, your example that you, you, you gave to me around having to go to the library. If you were having to do this all over again. What, you know, if you don't mind telling the audience what you were using it for and how much time you think it saved you, that would be great. [00:04:28] Speaker B: Yeah. So I was sent a, a very large turbine to sell to a customer for a data center installation. And we were trying to just run numbers on if there was enough gas. Right. Is there enough gas on site? That's kind of the first step that we had to do before we do even permitting with the epa any stuff. Do we have enough gas here? And I'm not an engineer, I don't have a background in gas anything. And I chat GPT my way from start to finish based off of the questions that I had to for the gas company. And so I went through, asked very logical questions and then built upon that. Okay, if we use this specific kind of turbine that's 50 megawatts. And we're trying to put in 500 megawatts. Right? Okay. This gen, this turbine makes, you know, uses this much. You know, the higher heat value is X. Okay. Calculate that out for 500 megawatts instead of 50 and it just does it. And then, you know, I have to check it and check the math and man, everything checked out. It probably saved me. I mean, I don't think I would have finished, but yeah, take me back 10 years, probably go to the library. And I would have just said, hey, man, I'm not, I'm not, I'm not your guy. [00:05:50] Speaker A: Now. [00:05:50] Speaker B: I'd have googled it and eventually maybe got there, but it probably saved me weeks, honestly. And I did it in a weekend. I did it in about eight total hours, chopped up between, you know, a Thursday, a Saturday and a Sunday finishing for my customer that we need to submit to the, the gas company. And gas company ran the numbers based off of ours and it all made sense and it wasn't, you know, I, I don't think I did anything special. I just took the time and I. You utilized and it taught me a lot about the capabilities of AI and how much that helped me personally. And like you said, it's the most useful AI while you're using it because I just, I just systematically went down the questions and it took me through it. [00:06:31] Speaker A: Yeah, and that's, that's impressive too, because what you were even just some of the things that you were saying, you know, I can imagine as you're, as you're typing that in and you're prompting it, you know, got to get very specific with some of those questions and, and that's where these models behave so, so well. You know, the more specific that you can give it from a prompt perspective, the, the more likely it's going to be able to help you hone in on your answer that you got. And that's, that's awesome that you were able to do that. You know, do you have other folks that, that look at it the same way as you do, you know, as part of your company or, you know, some, some folks that have been able to do those same sort of things? [00:07:12] Speaker B: I'm not sure. We don't have open discussions about it. I've told the guys, you know what I've used it for, I guess to toot the horn one more time of, of the, the chat GPT to kind of go back. It. It actually prompted me when I was doing my calculations, the next question that I had and, and Basically, hey, calculate this based off of that. It prompted me in chat GPT. Hey, if you wanted us to do this calculation, here it is. Would you like us to go ahead and do that? And it did. The next thing it literally thought for me, it was, it was kind of weird. It was a little creepy and I was like, this thing is like operating like, like a, a, a human. But yeah, we don't. To answer your question directly, I haven't had open discussions. I've, I've, I said, hey, I've used it for this. There's no way I could have done it without it. So if you get stuck and I'm not available, or if one of our other technical guys aren't available, just, you know, try to go down this, this rabbit hole of, of getting it done. And if you can't, you know, we'll figure it out together. [00:08:13] Speaker A: Yeah, and I think, I think that that kind of mindset is important, especially having that discussion with, with some of your folks because, you know, I've seen a couple of different sides of that spectrum. One is, you know, the ownership doesn't engage with their, with their employees about it. They may use it, but they don't have any kind of discussions around versa and just having an open, you know, policy around just, you know, if you're going to use it, don't be afraid to use it, but, you know, own up to it and there's nothing wrong with that. That's, that's really impressive actually. And I think a lot of folks could take, you know, some lessons from that that, you know, you jumped in, you did it, you got something great out of it, you saved a ton of time and you were able to get the answer right. That's, that's great. [00:08:56] Speaker B: I actually, I mean just as you're talking like some, I've connected some dots in our business. So we, we do service on generators and engines and compressors and overhauls and, and we have a wide range of technicians. Right. Super skilled high, you know, can tear an engine down every nut and bolt, knows exactly where to put it back. And we have guys that are apprentices that are learning that are, you know, that kind of struck a chord with me of actually like sitting down and with our service team and saying, hey guys, here's a tool that you can use. I used it in a technical format and in kind of a academic sense. Maybe if you're working on an engine and you don't have anybody to ask, start, start utilizing and maybe that can walk you through systematically, you know, where to go. I guess the question I would have back to you and I don't know, this works this way is like, how well can we trust these? These, you know, I, I went back and I checked and I was double checking, hey, what is the higher heat value of this specific turbine? And. And it matched up. Everything correlated. So I was double checking and making sure. I just wasn't, like, getting blown to the wind. But, like, how accurate are these models? Are they taking things from the deep dark web to, you know, put on. Yeah, yeah. [00:10:09] Speaker A: Well, so I would say it depends on. It depends on the data that they've been trained on. But you would be a star student, I'll tell you, because, you know, you asked it questions. You asked it very direct questions. You watched it, you double checked it. You did exactly what you're supposed to do under those kind of, you know, situations because, you know, they can, they can go awry sometimes, especially with math. You know, they sometimes will struggle with math if you're not very direct and tell them exactly what you want. And. But when you do, man, they can, they can really shine. And, you know, having that assistant just as you were, you know, getting the info, checking it, feeding it back in, that's how these things are supposed to be used. [00:10:58] Speaker B: Cool. Awesome. [00:11:00] Speaker A: Yeah. And I think, I think that's great. And, you know, really just, you know, not being afraid to take that first step to try something that's just completely out of, you know, your wheelhouse, potentially from. I've never used it for this before. Let's see what can happen. That's a great way to do it. Great way to try, try something new. I know our folks are really going to be excited about that to hear that. You know, if they have any questions for you, Andrew, how can they get a hold of you? [00:11:28] Speaker B: Yeah, just go to our website or google McCain power.com or McK ain. All of our contact information's on their sales team. We're actually revamping everything right now so we'll have a new website and all that stuff. But, yeah, you can Google us and, and happy to help with, with whatever your power systems needs are. So. [00:11:52] Speaker A: All right. I appreciate you being here, Andrew. Thank you again. Thanks for telling your story around how you're using it. Our folks really appreciate it and I want everybody to stay tuned. We'll be right back after a few short commercial messages. Foreign welcome to AI TODAY. I'm your host, Dr. Alan Badot, and this week we've got a hodgepodge for you. We're going to talk a little bit about everything. We're going to talk about the state of the businesses around AI we're going to try to, to figure out a little bit what's going to, what's going to happen where some of the investments may be, what some of the challenges you may run into. And then we're going to keep, we're going to, you know, keep keep moving along and we're going to start talking a little bit more about some basic automation, you know, with things, you know, where they are today. We just have to be, you know, really have that mindset that we're going to adapt and we're going to do what we have to do when we got to do it. And automation is a wonderful way of, of being able to do that. In some cases you just, you know, certain things you just have to automate. You've got to. And if you're not, then hopefully you'll take some, some lessons out of this as we, as we move forward. Because, you know, there's so much opportunity for you to save a few minutes here, a few minutes there, a few minutes some somewhere else that, you know, if you don't take advantage of it, you're, you're really not optimizing what your, your daily life and routine are now. It's also an opportunity to save, save you some money. That of course is really important. And you can do a lot of free things with or a lot of things with some free tools like Chat, GPT and some of the free versions of Claude and, and those other tools that we have talked about before. And we're going to talk in the next segment around, you know, some, some business, how you can use it in business, what you can do from a jobs, you know, perspective and how you can actually really apply it to things that you really weren't even thinking about. So, you know, it's a, it's a good, a good show to get a little bit of everything on and I think it'll be very, you know, hopefully enlightening for some folks and maybe, maybe some others. It'll be a little bit of a refresher. So, you know, I want you to, you know, stay, you know, engaged and you know, I'm going to answer some questions this week and I think, I think the first one that I'm going to hit on is really around some advancements. I do want to talk really quick about some advancements and just, just some of the tools that are out there, you know, about every, Geez, it seems like every Month somebody is releasing, you know, for a while it was like every day it felt like somebody was releasing something new, something that, you know, a new model that would impact your ability to create pictures, for example, or you know, write, you know, small novels about, you know, and using, you know, the tools that are out there to help facilitate those kind of things. And, and really, you know, as you, as you look from those, those capabilities, whether it's, you know, like Sora and really being able to do some text to video and the models around that and really just the realism that it can create is really, it's really phenomenal. Looking at other things around multimodal AI, you know, just really being able to take a whole bunch of different data feeds and either do analysis with that or you know, look at ways that you can, you know, communicate better with your customers. There are so many new tools that are just popping up out there that it's really, you know, a good opportunity to jump in and, and try to grab something. And you know, one I would say the biggest, the biggest pile of emails that I got this week was around this whole agentic, you know, AI. People ask me well, what does that really mean? Well, basically it means automation. And you know, there's, there's, generally speaking there's five different types of agentic, you know, frameworks that are out there going from you know, basic automation where almost like dumb bots is a, is a good way to, you know, to, to put it to, you know, things that are a little bit smarter and even some of the stuff that I'm working on around cognitive Personas and being able to, to shape them based on personalities and how they're going to respond and the tools that they use. You know, that's really fundamentally what it means. It doesn't mean this brand new field that's out there, it's not, you know, it's not that earth shattering, but what it is, it's getting easier and easier and easier to use them as long as you're using the right ones. And you know, we're going to keep hearing more about that, you know, as we, as we go through the rest of the year because you know, with, with the business environment that is there with, you know, really the appetite to, you know, to kind of not do an awful lot more or spend a lot more on your business or spend a little bit more on some research and, and those kind of things folks are starting to, to really hone in on, on the automation piece. And if you've heard me talk about this on the show, you know, I hope you have, you know, it's, it's, it's really around trying to make sure that you're using the right tools for the right time, for the right job, for whatever benefit that you can get out of those. And we often forget that, that just automating a lot of things can save you a lot of time. Now granted, it's not sexy AI, it's not Skynet type AI, but it's, it's, it's a way that you're going to save money and it's a way that you're going to save time and then you can take all that and you can go do it something else that's more important for your business. And you know, from a, the, the, the big drivers around investment, the markets are not in favor of a lot of new capital going out towards some of these things. And so you've got to think about that. You've got to think about, you know, how much do I want to invest in this brand new technology when maybe I'm not optimizing what I already have, maybe I'm not optimizing what I can actually do with it. And that is important. And I think this is one of those times where, where you need to really take a step back, evaluate where you are from a business life cycle perspective. Where are you in that, that range of really having an optimized business versus having to take another step forward in a technology that will get you over, over that hump, making sure that your processes are, are aligned with those, those new AI pieces. The, this is the time when you can take a little bit of a, a little bit of a breather, not a long one, but just a little one, and really evaluate how you're using it, what you're using it for, can you use it for other things in your business? And you know what some of those next steps are. Remember, the more you plan with this, the easier it's going to be when you do a pilot. The easier it's going to be when you try to roll it out. The easier it'll be when you try to have your customers use it. Now's the time to be planning for those kind of things and whether it's you're making an investment in bringing a consultant in bringing a process engineer in, bringing somebody that's an expert in change management, any of those things that will help you prepare for the next phase that's coming is really going to benefit you in the long run. And those kind of things aren't going to change. What we're seeing is, is that these technologies, whether they're agentic or whether they're, you know, whatever else we want to call them, they are starting to really penetrate a lot of different markets, things that you, you would never, you would never expect it to, to do. I'm, I'll give you an example. I'm, I'm looking at trying to help somebody with Rock Crushers, for goodness sakes. I never thought I would use AI to, to potentially look at Rock Crushers. It's actually phenomenal. So it's a lot of fun, actually. But when you pick markets where you can apply AI, I'll tell you, rock crushers wasn't in my top 20. Might have been in yours, but it's not in my top 20. But then when you take, you know, take that step back and you look at what the business is trying to do and how they're trying to help their, their customers, it makes perfect sense. And, you know, I'm not an expert in, you know, businesses when it comes to, you know, vertical markets and those kinds of things. I'm an expert when it comes to applying AI to a lot of different topics and then trying to use some things that I've learned along the way that most traditional IT folks and even a lot of AI folks don't think about. You know, if you can solve a problem with one way from something that you learned a long time ago, building missiles potentially, and apply it to, you know, measuring the, the square footage of a roof on a house, well, I'm going to use whatever the, the best way I can is, and that's how you have to think about solving these problems. One tool is not going to solve all your problems. So as you're planning and you're looking at these kind of things over the next, you know, month, one to two months, very important that you take those kind of things into account. And this also just further, you know, agrees with my premise that, you know, humans make decisions based on a lifetime of lessons learned. That's really fundamentally what we do. And from an AI perspective, trying to take all that bias out and have it make a decision based on, you know, equal weights is just unrealistic. And you're going to hear in the next segment, you know, just really just different ways that you can apply it, the right way to use these tools, and then also the ability to apply it to things that you never thought you could use it for. And, you know, our Next guest, Andrew McCain from McCain Power Systems, he's been on before. Really exciting. He's going to give you some, some examples of some things that he decided he was going to use it for because he didn't want to spend his whole weekend doing it and didn't want to have to go back to the library. I can agree with him on that. Always struggled at the library. Could never keep things as quiet as I wanted to. So stay with us. We've got a great show this week. Andrew will be up with us in the next segment and so stay tuned. We will be right back after a few short commercial messages. Foreign welcome back to AI Today. I'm your host Dr. Alan Mado. And this week we've got a hodgepodge of things that we're talking about. You know, we just had Andrew on the last segment talking about some ways that he's using it, using chat GPT in his business. Who would have thought to really look at it from, you know, trying to help you solve some problems and you know, if you, if you listen to Andrew from, you know, not really what he was necessarily using it for but how he was using it, that was the exciting part for me. You know, he's, he's doing it the right way. First of all, he's, he's asking it very specific questions, very specific, you know, giving it very specific prompts. He's feeding it, he's checking it, he's, he's double checking the answer to make sure it's correct. You know, that is really just the, the perfect representation of how you can use it, how you shouldn't be afraid to take a chance, apply it to a problem that you haven't thought of. You know, those are, those are going to be some of the most rewarding, you know, you know, opportunities that you have because you know, you think, oh man, I just, I got to give away my weekend because I've got to do X, whatever X is. If it's long work, I can't help you unless it's, you get a robot can't help you there. But if it's planning, if it's doing some, some catch up work, if it's writing a book, you know, if it's a whole bunch of those other things then that's where you really can, can take advantage of it. And so know, following up on Andrew's, you know, on the, on the segment that we have, I'm going to show you a couple of things that he was talking about and we'll do it live. This way you'll be able to get to See what, what, what he was talking about around really trying to use it. And so let's bring my screen up here. Perfect. So I'm going to use Perplexity. This is a new one that I haven't introduced to you. All very popular though and I love using it for a lot of different things. They were one of the first ones to have a good search engine in it. Really benchmark their, you know, some of their, their information and their data. But what we're going to do this week, we are going to use it for really some just. I'll show you what it, what Andrew was talking about, about writing job descriptions. And let's say that, you know, I'm, and I'm gonna spell things really wrong in some cases. So, so pay attention. I'm looking for a intern who is familiar with Fluid D. Now watch this. Dynamics. I'm going to spell it really wrong. I apologize. I know that's awful. But I, you'll see why Fluid Dynamics and would like to continue to go to school. Can you give me a job wreck for this position? Here we go. No, it's all over the place, right? It's really awful. And you know, I've got a little bit of this, I've got a little bit of that. I threw a little bit of something else in there. I spelled things as wrong as I could. Dynamics was awful. I really apologize, Dr. Chelik. I, I'm sorry about that. But so what? It's done. It's come out. Good title. Fluid Dynamics Intern. That's great. Type part time or full time. Flexible with school schedule. Impressive job summary. Seeking a motivated and detail oriented intern. Great start, right? You know, and okay, let's see. Pursuing a degree in mechanical engineering, blah, blah, blah. That's great. It's going down and it's giving the key responsibilities and oh, it's saying what software it needs to be familiar with that's important, that's good. And qualifications preferred skills and benefits. And it also has how to apply. Now if you look at that, that's, that's a great start. It's still general, but it's a great start. And looking at how badly I wrote that prompt, I tried to write a prompt as bad as I could without shedding the tear. And you know, the realities of that is, is that these models are getting much better at really being able to look at your intent. Where do you want to go? We, we started in about the worst possible place. Even my own prompt playground that I've developed would say, oh, that's Awful. You gotta start over. But it took what we had it built on, it reshaped it did a lot of. Put a lot of really good things in there. And know was able to come up with something that's pretty good. Now we can, we could copy and paste this in and we could refine it and we could do some more things around it. But I want it. I'm gonna, I'm gonna be more specific and we're gonna see how we can continue to shape it. So I'm gonna say that location can be virtual, right? Oh, big deal. Big deal. With this stuff, virtual is always great. Now, and let's see. Pay is. Now watch this. Via dinners and meal cards. If you're in college, you understand what the, the whole meal card is and the, and the dinner thing. Maybe I just dated myself, though. I apologize for that. But just thinking about just. I want to throw it a curveball. I want you to see, like, want you to see what happens. Pay is via dinners and meal cards and let's say, and Uber, you know, taxi reimbursement. Let's see what it says. We're going crazy with it. So I can show you what sort of thing it'll, it'll do. Now it is, let's see. So it's made a couple of changes. Compensation as meals provided via dinner vouchers with meal cards along with Uber taxi reimbursements. Oh, that's, that sounds like a doozy right there. And didn't change a lot on the job summary. That's fine. Key responsibilities, though about the same. Pretty much. They. It didn't make a lot of changes to this, which is great. And let's see. So the qualifications are still about the same. All of this is still about the same. It put in the meal card, it put in the Uber reimbursements. You can see it added it down here again. And that's, that's good. Now what's great about Perplexity is that this whole check sources thing, it's, you know, what it's doing is, is it's pretty much giving you ground truth around things. It's checking it. You have the ability to do that. If you hit check sources, it'll pop something up and it'll say it's checking the, the dinner and the reimbursements thing to see if it's real. If it can find it, it should be able to. It should not be able to find dinner through meal cards and, and dinner vouchers. But, you know, it's, it's one of those things where it's, it's doing what you asked it to do. It's created this pretty darn good job wreck. And it's taken us seven minutes so far. Well, actually not even that. That's impressive. That's great. And why is that? You know, imagine if you've got to do just five or six of these, you know, and if you're, you're kind of like me. It's one of those things where you get, you get to the point they can't find it. It's not going to be able to find that. I knew that. But you get to the point where these things are really, know, just mundane. You're tired of, tired of, you know, doing some of these things and you just got to make sure that you, you own it, you review it, you make sure that it does not have dinner and meal replacement cards in it and stuff like that. Because that's not going to get you an awful lot of candidates. However, you, you get the picture. Now one of the reasons I put some crazy stuff in there and I typed it really badly is a lot of folks are starting to use these tools more to talk into them. And whether it's accents, whether it's just, you know, somebody driving by and honking a horn at you, you know, that can cause, that can cause a significant issue. So if I go to do something like this and I'm going to turn it on, why not? Right? Yeah, we'll allow. While visiting the site. So now my mic is on and you can see that it's typing the information down there. Now. Punctuation is awful. Clearly it knows I can't spell and. No, thanks. Thanks for rubbing that in perplexity. I appreciate that. But you can see where as you were using these tools and you're engaging with it a little bit different. You're having it, you know, you're talking into it and it's trying to transcribe. Then you know, that would be, that would be really, really important to make sure that you're, you're checking this stuff. Now watch this perplexity. Can you turn this into a resume or, or a actually turn it into a job requisition about somebody who needs help writing a job requisition. I'm going to stop dictating and then I'm going to push it. We're going to send it up there now. Let's see how it does now. Job wreck. Virtual intern. Okay, not bad. A job writing intern. That's good. Let's see. Meals Pro. See, it still has meals provided by dinner vouchers and meal cards. You know, I said that at the beginning, but you can see it picked up everything that I said and it, it has included everything that, that I said in the, in the resume. And if you just say, okay, do it, send it, it's good, I don't have to worry about it. Again, it's making sure that we're using our tools and we're playing with our tools the right way because this is how you get yourself in trouble. You think, oh, yeah, that didn't, didn't hear it didn't. That's perfect. Or there's no way it's going to hallucinate when I, when I ask it something. You know, where did it actually, where did it come up with ideal for communications HR in English? I don't remember saying that. Right. And so it's starting to, it's, it was starting to struggle a little bit. You can see it, it really wanted to, it really wanted to, to, to go off, but it didn't, it didn't. It's not like the real estate one that we did a long time ago where it was like, oh, you know, a three cards and brand new finish on, you know, outside paint and all this other stuff. It didn't do that. The models are getting much, much better. But it is something that you have to always keep in mind. That's why we watch it, all right? And we watch it to make sure that it's doing what we want, when we want it. And that's, that's really how it's going to, to do those sort of things. And so I know this, that was an easy one. But just an example, use it for something that you haven't tried before. Take that step. Don't be afraid. You know, send me a note. We'll get on, we'll get on a call and we'll, we'll do it together. Right? But don't be afraid to try to apply these tools. Try a new tool on something that you haven't used before, something that you haven't tried before. And then that's, that's really going to help broaden what your, your perspectives are around these things. And so. Be right back. We're gonna, we're take a, a short break and hear from some of our sponsors. Foreign welcome back to AI Today. I'm your host, Dr. Alan Badeau. And this, this week we've got a hodgepodge, right? We've been throwing a lot of different things out at Y'ALL and I really just wanted to, to go back to the basics a little bit to remind people that it's so easy to use some of these tools for things that you don't even think about and, you know, try a new tool because they're being released all the time. You don't have to be like me and try 150 of them or I think I'm up to 200 and some by now, you know. But it's important, though, for you to take a step and not be afraid to, to embrace something, to try it and see what you can come up with. Now, last segment, I did a, just one about writing job requisitions, and I threw some crazy stuff at it. I wanted to see what it would do and it actually did really well. It behaved, which is great. Now, that doesn't mean we don't have to review things. Right? I don't want to read a story about one of my viewers that they're in the paper because they decided that they were going to turn a legal briefing into a judge and they didn't proofread it and they got called out on it. That better not be you. You need to make sure that you're watching it, you're interacting with it, you're telling it what you want, what you, what it doesn't want, those kind of things. Now we're gonna, we're gonna continue using Perplexity. You know, it's a tool that I use for a lot of different things along with the whole other tool sets. But it's really one that I, I think does a fantastic job around writing, looking for things on the Internet, helping you in, you know, incorporate those kind of things into, you know, some of the different opportunities to save money and, and that kind of stuff are. Now what I'm going to do is we're going to, we're going to ask it about some of the times they're going on right now. We're going to say, what do you think is the positive? And, and I'm doing both. Negative impacts of tariffs the US Puts on foreign countries. No, this does have, has nothing to do with politics. I'm going to say that right now what we're doing is we want to see how recent it can go. Is it going to be able to tell us information on the recency of these things? These are, these are, are ongoing activities. Is it going to give me good answers around the positive aspects of them and the negative aspects of them, which we all know there are. You don't have to be an economist to figure that out. There are good things about tariffs, there are bad things about tariffs. Right. We want to see what it's going to say, see how it's going to behave, you know, because I know a lot of folks have questions about these sort, these sort of things. And I want to prepare you for, on, on some of the responses that you might get and to think about that as you're, as you're looking at whatever tool that you're using. So I'm, I asked it that. And so it's, it's going to take a moment to do this, but it's looking through a lot of different things. That's a great thing about perplexity. You can see the sources that it's getting, the information from. It, it will tell you so it got one, got some from the White House, got some from the House of Lords library, cnbc, a whole bunch of different, you know, articles that it's pulling from. Now of course, here's the positives. I'm not going to read them to you because you can, you can see some of them. I want you to do this on your own anyway, so I'm definitely not going to read it to you. But it tells you a good job on the, the positive aspects of them and talks about some projections on the, on the potential for revenue, looking at trade negotiation, leverage and those kind of things. But then it also gives you some of the negatives about it. Now you as, as the audience, you know, my people are you, you all are, are smart, you know, to look at the positives, you know, to look at the benefits and then you can make your own decision. That's what makes us, you know, who we are and, and the geeks that we love to play these sort of things with. And so just make sure that you are looking at both sides of it so that you can make a well informed decision. That also means go to another AI tool, figure out what that other one is saying and then gives yourself another perspective. Because I guarantee it's not going to be the exact same answer. If it is, we got a problem, but we'll talk about that in a different show. But get multiple perspectives of that and see what sort of thing that you can do. Now this is where we talk about perspectives a little bit more and we talk about our Personas. All right, now we want to say as a supply chain small business in the automotive industry, what can I do to prepare myself to take advantage of the 25 automotive hack tariff on foreign vehicles? Now Everybody should ask this question if it, you know, any of these kind of questions, right? How can you take advantage of the situation? How can you think out ahead so that you can prepare yourself whether you're going to have to go through some tough times or whether you really can take advantage of it? It's not, you know, a bad thing to ask it for some advice that doesn't mean you have to do it, but you're just getting another perspective on some opportunities that maybe you haven't thought of. Right. And so we're gonna do it. We're gonna hit the enter key and we're gonna see what it says. It'll, it'll go through and it's, it's turning, it's thinking like it normally does. Again, you're looking at, you can look at a whole bunch of different articles that are out there now. It says source locally. Okay. It says look for alternative suppliers. Yeah, all right. Pretty general so far. You know, look at competitive pricing. Okay. Now we're starting to, now we're starting to think a little bit, collaborate on reshoring efforts. Now that could be a great opportunity for a lot of small businesses. You know, as these jobs are starting to come back, you know, there's not going to be one supplier that's going to be able to just absolutely hire everybody because they may not have time to. And so being able to take advantage of, of that in particular is a great way to do it. And so let's, let's actually dive a little bit deeper. We got a couple minutes left. Why not? And we'll say, you know, how can I assist in the reshoring efforts and where best to go to get information on that. A pretty general prompt, but it was aimed at a specific question. So hopefully, hopefully it'll look at it and it'll say, oh yeah, that, that's not, that's, you know, I can, I can, I can expand that a little bit and I'll go get some sources and you know, pull, pull some information in, together and, and so how to assist in reshoring efforts. It started to walk you through that process, looking at supply chain efficiencies, suppliers of choice. That is a great way potentially for a lot of businesses to try to take advantage of that, go to bigger companies that do this for a living, try to become part of their small business programs that they have and really accelerate what your, your growth could, could be. It starts talking about different networks that you can get involved in. I had no idea there was a manufacturing extension partnership, national Network on that's, that's a mouthful right there, but it's a lot of information out there and again, use it as a tool to help you be informed, to help you do what you need to do to plan and to help continue to, to build out what your, your business can be. Now that's what we, that was the show this week. I hope, I hope everybody really got some benefit from going back to basics, thinking about ways that we can use these tools, ways that we can optimize how we're applying them to our businesses. You know, maybe not taking that, that next step yet from a capital investment to bring in something a little bit more advanced for you to, to, to go to that next level maybe waiting to see as these, these tariff wars start to, to calm down a little bit and understanding what the situation is. But just do what is smart for you. Get perspectives and you know, we'll be able to, we'll be able to get through this together and, and come out better on the, the other side. I did want to say, I, I, the comments are great as always. The emails are wonderful. You know, I know that about, you know, 20 to 30% of you think that I'm an alien. That's awesome. I heard that, I heard that and that was great. That, that really made my week because it's, you know, I, I, I love it. I love the comments. You know, I love the, the, the positivity that I think that we're trying to get out there from a message perspective and getting folks to use these tools. It really, it really, you know, is, is fantastic and I thank you for that, thank you for the, the alien comment, honestly, because it's awesome. I love it. Always wanted to do that. So, you know, hey, I wouldn't be able to tell you anyway if I was, but I'm still going to say that, say thank you for, for you know, saying some fun stuff like that because I really do appreciate it. And you know, with that though, had a great show. We'll see you next week with another great one. I think next week we're going to do a little bit of a techie deep dive. We're going to get into some futuristic things and have some, have some fun. So it'll seven days until we see each other again and see you next week. Thanks.
